Adoption Suitability Assessment

The Adoption Suitability Assessment (ASA) evaluates prospective adoptive parents’ readiness and ability to provide for a child.

Conducted by experienced and qualified assessors, only applicants who obtain a favourable assessment outcome are eligible to identify a child and advance in the adoption process.

A non-refundable service fee of $261.60 (incl. GST) will be implemented for all applications with effect from 1 October 2025. This fee covers administrative costs and coordination with the relevant government agencies involved in processing your application.
